This next show will be a mix of my more graphic works and will be including a mix of the new and old. I have been busy making new prints, I have been trying to expand my skill and knowledge of lino and dry point printing.

Festival of Rivers Exhibition

This is an exhibition that features a number of the 2009 York Open Studios Artist as part of Festival of Rivers. Four of my recent paintings will be on show alongside some other fantastic work for the City.





YORK ST JOHN : PAST & PRESENT - The Artspace, York
13th March - 6th April 2009

A group exhibition of 'past and present' York St John Fine Art students.

Artists include Robert Jones, Annette Wormald, Radovan Bolcar, Slav Kraus, and old ArtSpace favourites - Catherine Scriven and Myself.

The works in this show are raw paintings that use paint again following on from a period of mainly drawing. In the new work colour (as always) has a pivotal roll with a ruff focus on warm and cold compositions in play.

York Open Studios 2009 opening times:

Friday March 27 2009 6-9pm
Saturday March 28 2009 10am-6pm
Sunday March 29 2009 11am-5pm

This will be the second time I have taking part in this event, it will feature a new body of work that is mainly based painting. It will move away from the mark based works, aligning more with the ideas of Horizon and Borders as well as looking into the idea of the spiritual in painting.
